What bootcamp taught me....

Well, it is Monday. I just finished an intense week of bootcamp. No, not the kind you work out at...except I did really work my brain, so maybe that counts :D..... Anyway, Jen Scincero was our leader and so along with 7 other writer's I set out with an intention of writing my book proposal. Everything was done via phone which was awesome and showed me just how expansive business' can be (no limit's baby!!).

Everyday we stretched beyond our comfort zone and everyday we cheered each other on. We were from totally diverse backgrounds and were focused on totally different topics. The only common ground was in  each of us exists a desire to bring a new understanding to the world. A desire to create a better place for all! What a noteworthy cause! Hallelujah for individuality!

For the last 10 years (at least) I have had book ideas rolling around in this big ol' head and never found the time to get them out. Well, I am officially writing now..not journaling, like I have for oh so many years..but writing!!! My book proposal is just about done, just needs a little more tweaking (and editing!! LOL!!!) but for the most part..we're good! Soooooooo, glad I leapt into. I could have listed off a million of reasons NOT to do it, or even to just do it later. let's see... my8 kid's, my hubby, painting my house, changing a diaper....yadda, yadda, yadda,...blah blah blah... oh how boring I want some excitement!!! Rather than excuses, gimme' reasons!!!..:) And here I am, SO GLAD I DID!! I stretched further, reached higher, dug deeper, and pow.....I leapt! I emerged more confidant than I thought possible! From a book proposal writing course, who'd a thought? I didn't!!! Well, on to the next exhilarating, blood pumping leap!! :))
