Well today I tried to fix my computer. And quite honestly when it comes to computers, I don't have a clue. If anything goes wrong I poke around, change settings, do random, ridiculous things that anyone who knows anything would think "what the heck are you doing!" So pretty much everyone I know thinks I am ridiculous for trying to "fix" my own computer. lol!! Well they are right! I have no business trying to "fix" my own computer, I have no idea what I am doing! AT ALL!! As of late I have been needing the assistance of my computer. You see I have decided to finally write my book. Well a computer is quite convenient and I can still read what I have jotted down after I am done. Anyway, so just last night I decided I really needed to get my computer working. So I found one of those drive curing sites and purchased it. As it attempted to clean my drives, or whatever it does. The computer went from making this annoyingly loud whirring sound to silence! AH! It has been so long since my computer has been quiet it was a bit eerie at first.... After a bit though the whirring began again and I was back to my comfort zone. The poor thing was working SO hard. After about 4 hours of trying to "fix" it, HELLLLOOOO, you'd think I'd learn. I finally gave up and went to bed, after all it was 7 in the morning. My elementary age kids are on spring break but my 15 yr. old is not. He has to leave for school at 7:30am. No sleep makes for a long afternoon nap. :) lol! So today I was back at it with the computer. Gently poking around for a bit, to no avail which was no surprise. So, once again I take a break. At about 5pm while I am watching a home study course about manifestation. The Coach mentions that she often will ask for help from God and then leave it alone and he brings it. So, I asked for someone to help fix my computer..for reals this time. Well, no one came. Then again what did I expect? After all it is 1 in the morning, I don't think I'd have let them in. Either way, I did get my computer fixed! haha Yes, it is true! I put my baby back to bed after his 10 pm feeding, he is still an infant 2 months old! :) So sweet! Well, I came back out here and took another crack at it. If you can believe that. BUT this time it began to work. It did take a little more than just sitting down a booting it up. I was required to put a little thought a consideration into the process as well as a push in the right direction and voila' it is good to go!
Remember I asked God to send me someone..well that someone came in the form of Google chrome, not exactly what I was expecting. I logged on to the original administrator because I felt that would be the best place to start....at the beginning. At first I clicked onto the driver cure icon to heal my computer it tried to connect to the internet with Mozilla to no avail. Well I expected that it had been doing that for the last 2 years. So this time I clicked on the Google chrome icon to maybe give it a chance to be used as the browser. Well it wasn't able to connect to the internet either. BUT it did give me some direction. For the first time it said maybe my proxy setting s were off. AND then it gave instructions to decipher and reconfigure. So I did as it said. and for the first time in 2 years....internet access! OMG, I was thrilled could it really be? and yes it is :)
So....God heard me. He answered my prayer! NOT the way I expected but nonetheless answered with the results I desired! Everyday I am learning and growing. Everyday I think I know what I need to happen and everyday I find... His way to be of greater success and ease.
